About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Developer to join our Corporate Systems team at the University of Kent. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the management and delivery of corporate systems to support the core administrative, teaching, and research functions of the University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design, develop, and deploy robust and maintainable systems to support library, research services, and academic repository systems.
  • Design, administer, and maintain databases, data integrations, and infrastructure to ensure data quality, business processes, and service improvements.
  • Monitor services to ensure reliability and quality, and liaise with suppliers, HE networks, and other third parties to receive and share relevant knowledge.
  • Manage services and data, planning and executing technical delivery, and gathering, analyzing, and presenting data and information effectively.
  • Develop extensive knowledge of at least two of the following areas: library and research management systems, web development languages, data integrations between systems.
