The Acute Medicine team at Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking an exceptional nurse to join our team as a Staff Nurse within the Acute Admissions Unit (AAU).
Closely supported by a large team of Sisters/Charge Nurses, we will help you develop your role as a nurse within the exciting field of acute medicine. We admit patients directly from A&E and ambulatory care to our 52-bedded AAU, aiming to provide an exceptional standard of care while maintaining the flow of patients throughout the hospital.
What We Offer- Support and development from your Band 7 nursing team, including Senior Sisters/Charge Nurses and a dedicated Practice Development Nurse for the Acute Admissions Unit.
- Newly qualified nurses can undertake our dedicated Preceptorship Program, and we have a wealth of different training opportunities for more experienced nurses.

The nurse will be expected to provide direct patient care to enhance the well-being and promote the health of patients on The Acute Admissions Unit.
The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate priorities of care and utilize available resources in an effective manner.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities1. To participate in the provision of a high standard of clinical nursing care to meet patients' needs within the agreed policies of the unit, with support from senior colleagues.
2. To be responsible for the clinical observation and recording of data relating to patients. To ensure that accurate records are maintained and reviewed as appropriate.
3. To maintain and protect the safety, confidentiality, and dignity of patients and their families.
4. To be responsible for the completion and maintenance of the electronic patient record. To ensure patient confidentiality is maintained in this process.
5. To competently operate observation equipment.
