Environmental Project Manager

ICF is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our environment team, you will be responsible for coordinating proposals and projects from proposal stage through to delivery and successful outcomes for our clients.

We welcome applications from individuals with a strong track record in bid and/or project management of environmental projects, or monitoring and evaluation projects, working as a project and/or bid manager. Relevant experience in project management for UK government clients, particularly for Defra and Natural England, will also be considered.

  • Bring together teams of relevant internal and external experts to deliver a portfolio of environmental monitoring and evaluation studies in the UK relating to the natural environment, climate, marine conservation and fisheries, the countryside, and agriculture.
  • Oversee the management of projects, ensuring all financial, contractual, and other obligations are achieved in accordance with the agreed terms of reference and in accordance with ICF's quality standards.
  • Build effective relationships with clients and ICF subcontractors to ensure delivery of high quality projects that meet client needs, on time and within budget.

You will come to us with:

  • An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple small to mid-sized projects on a large framework.
  • A strong track record in bid and/or project management of environmental projects, or monitoring and evaluation projects, working as a project and/or bid manager.
  • Experience of project and bid management in a consulting or similar project-based environment.
  • A keen interest and experience of working in the environmental, natural sciences, or social sciences/policy sectors.
  • Strong project management and commercial skills and expertise in business or programme leadership.
  • An ability to manage and deliver projects from inception to completion.
  • Well-honed interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative teams.

This role will be positioned as a Managing Consultant or Lead Managing Consultant level, depending on experience.
