Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic management and deployment of enterprise application systems globally.
  • Implementation of suitable technologies to ensure production systems remain performant, available, scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
  • Leadership of DevOps teams worldwide.
  • Collaboration with development and product teams to enhance developer productivity and reduce time to market.
  • Working closely with architecture and security teams to establish global best practices across all application platforms.
  • Execution of the global DevOps strategy.
  • Continual improvement and maturation of DevOps teams towards global best practice standards.
  • Effective management of technical application/infrastructure debt in line with strategic objectives.
  • Development, implementation, and reporting of critical metrics demonstrating progress against agreed SLAs.
  • Supporting the application security team in delivering and maintaining the Application Cyber Security strategies through execution of security programs and ensuring governance and rigor are applied to existing security processes and practices.
  • Supporting the security team in maintaining current security certifications for applications.
Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior technical role, leading DevOps, Architecture, or Development teams.
  • Strong technical expertise across a wide range of domains, including infrastructure, software development, and related cybersecurity.
  • Proven technical capability and experience in architecting, building, and managing AWS cloud environments.
  • Experience in managing costs within a cloud compute environment while maintaining scalable and performant systems.
  • Expertise in building distributed toolchains and libraries facilitating rapid application development and repeatable, predictable design patterns using:
    • Atlassian-based products like JIRA/Confluence/Bamboo.
    • Jenkins/Puppet/CHEF.
    • DAST tooling (e.g., Checkmarx, AppScan, Burp Suite).
    • SAST tooling (e.g., SonarQube, Checkmarx, Coverity).
    • SCA tooling (e.g., Veracode, Checkmarx, Mend.io).
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically, anticipate future trends, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working with distributed teams featuring offshore resources.
