Job Title: Metrology Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Metrology Specialist to join our pioneering organisation in contract inspection and computer-aided measurement (CMM) programming, serving both UK and global clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Creating CMM programs to inspect customer parts on dedicated equipment.
  • Programming other inspection tools as required.
  • Maintaining a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical principles.
  • Interpreting and manipulating customer CAD models.
  • Developing measurement programs and inspection strategies.

This role requires demonstrated expertise in metrology, encompassing knowledge of engineering drawings, geometric tolerancing, standards, and CAD systems. Proficiency in utilising company IT systems and software is also essential.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated expertise in metrology, including knowledge of engineering drawings, geometric tolerancing, standards, and CAD systems.
  • Proficiency in using company IT systems and software.
  • Ability to provide technical support to customers as needed.
  • Adherence to and promotion of the company's health and safety policy.
  • Familiarity with dimensional measurement equipment, including coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), form measurement instruments (FMI), and vision measurement machines (VMMs).
