Are you a passionate History Graduate looking for a role that allows you to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key part in supporting students across Key Stages 1 and 2 in a vibrant primary school in Newham, East London.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the Classroom: Assist with engaging lessons, including history-related topics and broader subjects like literacy and numeracy, helping students develop their knowledge and curiosity about the world.
  • Supporting Literacy and Research Skills: With your background in history, you will help students develop key academic skills such as research, analysis, critical thinking, and the ability to articulate their ideas clearly.
  • One-to-One and Small Group Support: Provide tailored guidance to help students succeed, whether it's supporting individual students with reading or helping small groups grasp historical concepts.
  • Collaborating with Teachers and Inclusion Teams: Work closely with the class teacher and the inclusion team to ensure that students with diverse learning needs receive the right support to thrive academically and socially.
