We are seeking a skilled Support Worker to join our team in Cardiff, working closely with a Local Authority to provide intensive interventions and access to therapeutic services for young people. The successful candidate will work on a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver flexible and responsive care packages of respite, intervention, outreach, and family support to young people across Cardiff.
  • Work with adolescents who present with challenging behavior, using evidence-based interventions to develop problem-solving skills and resilience.
  • Collaborate with carers and the wider team to provide a rapid response to children and families in crisis.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with adolescents and carers.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
  • Driving license and full use of a car.
  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS.
