Design Analysis Engineer

At Apple, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology. As a Design Analysis Engineer on our GPU team, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of graphics processing units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with designers to refine GPU micro-architectural specifications
  • Work with architecture, physical design, and verification teams to identify potential issues
  • Implement micro-architecture, balancing energy efficiency, performance, and area constraints
  • Review synthesis and power reports, resolve timing and power issues, and ensure maximal QoR
  • Collaborate with verification team to ensure design behaves as intended and is thoroughly tested
  • Work with physical design team to produce an optimal layout of the design
Requirements
  • BSc/MSc/BEng/MEng/PhD in related fields
  • Previous exposure to complex IP design
  • Understanding of implementing modern design techniques
  • Fluency with RTL Verilog/VHDL syntax and hardware modelling
  • Familiarity with logic simulation and debug environments as well as formal verification
