Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced individual to join our residential childcare team as a Dedicated Residential Care Professional.

About the Role
  • This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and inclusive environment, providing ongoing support to young people as part of a dedicated team of carers.
  • The role involves collaborating with team leaders and other carers to provide therapeutic support, safeguarding, and boundary management.
  • You will integrate with the on-site school and therapy teams within a therapeutic community framework, participating in reflection sessions to enhance your personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a sub-team to provide ongoing support to young people, guided by Team Leaders or Seniors.
  • Develop and maintain open communication and relationship-building skills to minimize incidents and referrals.
  • Participate in activities like cooking, gaming, outdoor adventures, and more, promoting nurturing and mentoring skills.
  • Support the on-site school and therapy teams in a collaborative and cohesive manner.
Requirements
  • A QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent) is essential for this role.
  • Previous experience in residential childcare is required, though we will support you in adapting to our specialized practice model.
  • Strong English and basic IT skills are necessary, along with a full UK driving licence.
  • A sense of humour, creativity, resilience, and passion for working with young people are essential qualities for this position.
