Clinical Psychologist for Maternity Services

**Role Overview:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in North Wales, specializing in perinatal mental health. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of mothers and babies, while also contributing to the development of compassionate healthcare systems.
The successful candidate will have expertise in working with individuals presenting with complex psychological issues, including obstetric trauma, needle phobia, and previous rape or abuse. They will also have experience in developing and delivering outreach psychological work within maternity services, ensuring seamless pathways between healthcare professionals and comprehensive person-centered care.
**Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat perinatal mental health conditions, providing evidence-based interventions and monitoring patient progress.
- Develop and deliver outreach psychological work within maternity services, promoting early intervention and prevention of mental health issues.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including midwives, obstetricians, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure cohesive care planning and effective communication.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection guidelines.
- Meet the requirements of Good Honours degree in Psychology with eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) with the BPS, and post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the HCPC (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 as accredited by the BPS).
