Early Years Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our team at YMCA Nursery Eastleigh. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in inspiring and supporting young learners, helping them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a nurturing environment that promotes learning and development, engaging with children of all ages and abilities.
  • Support children, colleagues, and parents, delivering stimulating activities and recording daily observations to inform future development.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, attending training opportunities for personal and professional growth.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Embrace the diversity of each day, using initiative to keep children engaged and supporting their emotional needs.
Requirements:
  • Level 2/3 childcare qualification or relevant experience.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality childcare, including physical care and hygiene practices.
  • Understanding of child development, statutory frameworks, and relevant legislation.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety and safeguarding good practice.
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification or willingness to train.
