Job Overview:

Sy3 is seeking a skilled Senior Commercial Analyst to join its expanding commercial team in Lincoln. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Develop and maintain cost estimation models to ensure accurate and competitive cost estimates.
  • Tender Analysis: Analyse tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to identify project requirements and develop detailed bid strategies.
  • Subcontractor Management: Source and negotiate competitive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.
  • Risk Evaluation: Identify and evaluate project risks, incorporating contingencies into costings to ensure optimal budget allocation.
  • Budget Control: Collaborate with commercial and project management teams to monitor and control budgets, ensuring adherence to project scope and timelines.
  • Pricing and Cost Control: Maintain and update pricing and cost control databases, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Post-Project Review: Conduct thorough post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance future bid success.
