Job Description: As an Ecologist Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of ecologists and overseeing the delivery of ecological projects across various sectors, including utilities, infrastructure, and renewable energy. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop effective solutions that meet their ecological requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of ecologists to deliver high-quality ecological services
  • Develop and implement project plans to meet client deadlines and expectations
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their ecological needs and develop effective solutions
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, including identifying new opportunities and building relationships with potential clients
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD or MSc in Ecology or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in ecology, with a strong background in project management and team leadership
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members
  • Strong technical knowledge of ecological principles and practices, including UK planning system and environmental legislation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and travel
