Job Title: SEN Teacher/Tutor
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher/Tutor to join our team as a Curriculum Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a class group and developing curriculum-specific subjects throughout the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement curriculum-specific subjects for students with complex needs
- Lead and manage a class group, exercising professional skills and judgment to impact educational progress
- Develop and enhance classroom practice for teaching staff and teaching assistants
- Support the day-to-day running of the school under the direction of the Headteacher
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree or equivalent in education or curriculum subject/teaching
- QTS/QLTS desirable but not essential
- Experience in working with students with complex needs is desirable but not essential
Knowledge and Understanding:
- Understanding of the latest research and its implementation in context to achieve maximum impact
- Ability to analyze student data to monitor and improve performances
- Self-aware with a good understanding of own personal strengths and weaknesses
