Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Load Security: Ensure the secure loading and unloading of goods at all times.
  • Company Policies: Adhere to our 12 Life Saving Rules and ensure the safety of staff, customers, and the public at all times.
  • Delivery Service: Provide an efficient and satisfactory multi-drop delivery service to our customers, including other company departments and depots.
  • Cash Handling: Safely handle cash and cheques for Cash Sale deliveries and account settlements.
  • Quality Assurance: Operate our ISO 9000 Quality Assurance System to the satisfaction of the Department and Quality Manager.
  • Vehicle Security: Ensure that all vehicles under your control are kept secure at all times.
  • Paperwork: Complete all necessary paperwork, including Advice Notes, Load Sheets, Tachograph charts, Fuel Mileage, and daily check sheets.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness of any vehicle allocated to you and perform daily Company and Statutory checks.
  • ADR Compliance: Ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, in line with ADR regulations.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Minimum LGV C (HGV 2), Full Clean Driving Licence, Driver's CPC Card, ADR with Core and Packages and UN Class 2.
  • Experience: Experience of multi-drop deliveries and knowledge of local and regional areas.
  • Skills: Good standard of numeracy and literacy, willingness to undergo Company Medical if required, and Disclosure of any unspent convictions.
