Job Description

**Job Title:** Finance Assistant - Financial Operations Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team at CBW Staffing Solutions. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our clients, ensuring the smooth management of financial transactions and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with financial functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Support the management and reconciliation of timesheets for all engineers, ensuring accurate payment of overtime and salaries.
  • Process and code invoices for company charges, including Oyster Cards, Parking, Dart Charge, and Congestion Charge.
  • Manage expense claims, ensuring all receipts are accurate and coded correctly to the relevant department and nominal codes on Sage.
  • Proactively collect and enter weekly timesheets into spreadsheets to ensure correct payment of overtime for salaries.
  • Assist with credit control, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Manage the filing of Purchase Ledger invoices and timesheets.
  • Raise daily sales invoices, ensuring accurate information is processed and sent to clients.
  • Perform other financial tasks as directed by the Finance Manager.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Highly competent in analysis and interpretation of financial information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in developing relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Diligent and accurate in all financial tasks.
  • Basic Excel spreadsheet skills.
