About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Medical Lead to join our BII Immunology team in Slough, UK. This is a field-based role covering the UK and Ireland, and the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a therapeutically aligned Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Team.

The Field Medical Lead will provide executive medical presence, leadership, coaching, and accountability to drive individual and team results. Key responsibilities include line management of MSL teams, leadership of Medical Science for consistency and excellence of MSL capability, and development and implementation of field medical strategic roadmaps.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead a therapeutically aligned MSL Team and provide executive medical presence, leadership, coaching, and accountability to drive individual and team results.
  • Develop and implement field medical strategic roadmaps and deliver on group and individual metrics for the team.
  • Contribute to the regional and Global Medical capability development across the medical affairs community.
  • Recruit, onboard, develop, coach, mentor, and manage area MSL teams.
  • Develop and implement aligned MSL training curriculums in partnership with the Medical Strategy Lead, local L&D partner, GMA, and EU medical.
  • Ensure implementation of local field medical plans and monitoring of performance vs. objectives.
  • Coach and model high-impact medical engagement, delivery, and scientific and clinical differentiation of TA/asset value proposition.
Requirements
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated Medical affairs/leadership experience or 3+ years effectively managing a field medical team.
  • Relevant therapeutic area experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated strength in strategic medical planning, tactical plan development, and implementation.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and engagement skills, including mastery of the English language.
