Job Title: Senior Software Developer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team at Beauty Bay. As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for driving technical advancement of our front and back-end systems, ensuring the day-to-day running, enhancement, and maintenance of our technical estate. You will work on new functionality, bug fixes, and general maintenance tasks for our e-commerce platform.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for spec'ing and adding new features to our front ends.
Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of our front ends.
Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of our APIs and services.
Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of our back office systems.
Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of 3rd party integrations (feeds, SaaS platforms).
Ensure good practices are followed and standardised across the team.
Work closely with CloudOps team to blend infrastructure and website activities.
Act as a technical subject matter expert.

Requirements:
TypeScript & JavaScript experience also essential.
Modern CSS and SASS experience.
Solid Modern React experience using classes, functions, hooks etc.
AWS experience/Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts, e.g. serverless.
Good working knowledge of Node and Node APIs.
Experience working in a full stack environment.
An understanding of agile delivery approaches, software craftsmanship best practices and experience of developing software within a Micro- Service architecture and knowledge of when to utilise.
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to adapt to fast-changing requirements.
Ability to take ownership of an extensive propriety technology estate.

Desirable Skills:
Desire to get involved in architectural designs and decisions for new projects.
Desire to assist in running the wider engineering team.
Experience in an e-commerce environment.
Experience with large ecommerce platforms such as Shopify.
