Head Horticulturalist

About the Position:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head Gardener to join our team at a prestigious private estate in the Cotswolds. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and developing our beautiful gardens, working closely with the family and garden designer to achieve their vision.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of gardeners to ensure the highest standards of garden maintenance and development
* Collaborate with the family and garden designer to plan and implement new garden projects
* Source and manage external contractors to maintain the garden's appearance and functionality
* Develop and implement a comprehensive garden maintenance schedule
* Perform regular inspections to identify areas for improvement
* Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers and tradespeople

Requirements:
* Relevant horticultural qualifications (e.g., degree or diploma in horticulture)
* Full, clean driving licence with experience in driving 4x vehicles and towing trailers
* Proven track record of success in a similar role
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Knowledge of gardening best practices and industry trends

Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £58,000 per annum, plus benefits, including health insurance, pension scheme, and annual leave.
