Job Purpose

This role is responsible for packing processed animal food safely and effectively, meeting the required finished standard. The Packing Operator will work under the direction of the Shift Manager and Lead Operative Packing to achieve this goal.

Main Duties:

  • Running a packing line, including product feed, bagging, technical checks, and recording palletization, and finished product transfer to warehouse via FLT.
  • Creating stock (finished product and WIP) on CEMEX (stock system).
  • Capture, segregation, and transfer of waste for rework.
  • Clean as you go, and wider site cleaning as and when required.

Requirements, Experience and Person Specification:

  • Manufacturing background, preferably in food, pet food, or FMCG.
  • Food Safety L2.
  • Awareness of BRC.
  • IOSH Working Safely.
  • Some awareness of CI tools and techniques.
  • Can-do attitude, seeking solutions.
  • Honest and empathetic with a sense of perspective.
  • Team player, winning together and losing together.
  • Open to change and willing to learn.

Salary

£12.24ph
