GSL Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Caretaker to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and security of our school premises.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Security: Oversee the upkeep of school facilities, including cleaning, minor repairs, and equipment maintenance.
- Team Leadership: Supervise a small team of support staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Health and Safety: Implement and maintain health and safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and address potential hazards promptly.
- Emergency Response: Act as the point of contact for emergencies, addressing issues such as fire alarms, heating failures, and security breaches.
- Communication: Liaise with school staff, contractors, and external agencies to coordinate maintenance and repair work with minimal disruption to the learning environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenditures, and equipment inventory.
- Experience: Previous experience as a School Caretaker or in a similar setting.
- Leadership Skills: Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Health and Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to implement them.
