Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our dynamic Joint Venture in Newcastle. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement database solutions to meet business requirements
  • Ensure database performance, security, and compliance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve database systems
  • Develop and maintain database documentation and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements:

  • 1st Class degree from a Russell group Uni (2.1 as a minimum)
  • 3 As at A Level
  • Proven experience in database administration, preferably with Oracle and Microsoft
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

What We Offer:

  • Paying £80k - £110k + bonus
  • On-Call is expected once every 4 weeks, overnight/weekend and only for Production issues
