We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at The Solution Group Ltd, a leading company in the structural and architectural steel industry. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimations for a range of steel projects.

About the Role:

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for analysing project drawings and requirements, factoring in all material, labour, and overhead costs to provide clear and concise proposals. You will work closely with clients and suppliers, building and maintaining strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimations: Prepare and submit accurate, competitive estimations based on project specifications and drawings.
• Cost Analysis: Analyse project drawings and requirements, factoring in all material, labour, and overhead costs to provide clear and concise proposals.
• Supplier Coordination: Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate costings and up-to-date market rates.
• Risk Identification: Identify potential risks within project scope and propose mitigations to ensure smooth project execution.
• Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking opportunities to engage new clients.
• Deadline Management: Work effectively under tight deadlines to ensure all estimates are submitted on time and meet client expectations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the metalwork industry, specifically within fabrication and installation processes.
• A strong understanding of structural and architectural steel and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings to prepare accurate estimations.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction and supplier coordination.
