Job Summary

At Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying data-intensive capabilities using existing and emerging technologies. You will work closely with our global engineering team to develop full-stack applications with a focus on security, design, validation, and SDLC framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain data platform features using Java and Python services.
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to design and implement data-intensive capabilities.
  • Work with various AWS services, including Amazon MSK, Apache Kafka, ECS, and S3.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of data platform features.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for team processes, best practices, and software runbooks.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in software development using a modern programming language.
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
  • Experience with distributed tracing, performance testing, authentication, and authorization.
  • Proficiency with algorithms, data structures, and software design.
  • Experience with UNIX operating systems, infrastructure as code, and networking.
  • Experience with SQL databases and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Agile operating models, including Scrum and Kanban.
