We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Solicitor to join our team at PP Associates in Liverpool. As a Family Solicitor, you will play a key role in advising clients on a wide range of Family and Children law matters, including private and public cases.
Key Responsibilities- Advise clients on Family and Children law matters, including divorce, matrimonial, domestic abuse, and non-molestation cases.
- Manage and advise on allocated Family and Children Law cases, including CCMS applications, amendments, and POAs.
- Negotiate with clients and other professionals to secure agreed objectives.
- Attend court hearings, prison visits, police stations, and other off-site requirements.
- Provide advocacy and draft legal documents and court applications.
- Conduct research and analysis to ensure the accuracy of advice and procedure.
- Build key relationships with clients and external industry professionals.
- Stay up-to-date with changes and developments in the law by reading journals and law reports.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the firm by identifying opportunities to expand business.
- Provide advice and guidance to other employees, including supervising and training trainee solicitors and paralegals.
- Ensure compliance with Lexcel and other standards.
- Protect client confidentiality by adhering to GDPR.
- Participate in business development activities and networking.
- Experience in advising on Family matters.
- Strong time-management and ability to manage own caseload.
- Advocacy experience is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge and experience of Legal Aid.
- Genuine passion for Family law.
- Commercially minded.
- Personable and confident/articulate communicator.
- Pro-active and 'can do' attitude.
- Own referral source would be a distinct advantage.
- Panel membership or working towards would be a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge and experience of Lexcel Compliance is desirable.
