Overview


GLL, a charitable social enterprise owned by its staff, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Lifeguard at Vauxhall Leisure Centre.

Description of Duties

As a Lifeguard, your primary responsibility will be to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for our members. This includes:



  • Supervising and cleaning the pool area to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Setting up equipment and ensuring that all necessary safety measures are in place.
  • Delivering first-class customer service and dealing with any member queries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Rotating pools and participating in other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the leisure centre.


Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent qualification.
  • A good understanding of health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A flexible approach to work and ability to work well under pressure.
