Highway Maintenance Operative

BMC Appointments Ltd is seeking an experienced Highway Maintenance Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out various maintenance duties, including winter maintenance, to ensure the efficient running of our Project Facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum LGV driving licence group "C" and experience in strict H&S operations. They will also possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work using their own initiative.
This is a dynamic role that requires the ability to respond promptly to incidents on the network as instructed, supporting the Incident Response Team. The successful candidate will also be responsible for recording daily activities, inputting maintenance activities within the Asset Management System, and performing other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required.

Key Responsibilities:- Maintenance duties: Carrying out highway maintenance duties as instructed, including winter maintenance when appropriate.
- Incident response: Responding promptly to incidents on the network as instructed, supporting the Incident Response Team.
- Equipment operation: Operating a variety of plant and equipment in order to carry out required duties effectively.
- LGV driving licence group "C" minimum.
- 12ab/d Lantra traffic management trained.
- Asset Management Awareness – operational level required.
- Experience and knowledge of strict H&S operations and its practical implications.
- Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team.
