About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Street Enforcement Officer. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our borough.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol designated areas to identify and address environmental crime and antisocial behaviour
  • Engage with the public to educate and influence them about the impact of their actions
  • Carry out a wide range of street-based enforcement and engagement work, including investigating illegally dumped rubbish and litter, street begging, busking, and illegal street trading
  • Identify and address abandoned bicycles and engage with rough sleepers

Requirements:

  • A good attitude to customer service and a willingness to learn
  • The ability to engage respectfully with individuals from all kinds of backgrounds and remain calm under pressure
  • Flexibility about working hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to record information, gather evidence, and write brief reports
