Early Years Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Bright Horizons Potten End Day Nursery and Preschool in Hemel Hempstead. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our children, while also contributing to the overall success of our nursery.

About the Role

This part-time position involves working three or four days per week, either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, between the hours of [insert hours]. You will be responsible for planning, creating, and implementing engaging activities tailored to each child's needs, promoting their development towards key milestones.

As a qualified Early Years Practitioner, you will have a passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child, while also building strong relationships with colleagues and parents. You will be expected to work collaboratively with the team to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment for all children.

Requirements
  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
