Job Overview
Pilgrims Europe is seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Technologist to join their New Product Development (NPD) Team. Reporting directly to the NPD Manager, this key team member will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive category and customer strategy, manage costings, prioritize projects, ensure product submissions meet high standards, and guarantee technical compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • A thorough understanding of the NPD Process from concept to launch is essential.
  • Costings must be generated and managed throughout the NPD process against targets set out in briefs.
  • Engineering Project Development (EPD) projects require strong management skills.
  • Collaboration with the Group Development Chef, Group Packaging Manager, and Procurement team is crucial.
  • Project and Critical Path Management are critical components of this role.
  • Maintaining accurate records of final product sign-off, new ingredients, and packaging processes is vital.

Requirements:
  • At least 3 years' experience in the food industry is required.
  • A proven track record in launching new products and effective planning and organizational skills are essential.
  • Excellent IT skills for data analysis and reporting are necessary.
  • A good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and formula writing is required.
  • The ability to drive an exciting food culture that puts products at the heart of the business is key.

Salary and Benefits
This challenging role comes with a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
