We are seeking a highly skilled Peer Mentorship and Recovery Coordinator to join our team at 306 North London NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing, creating and delivering a range of peer support activities and care planning for service users who meet the Rough Sleepers initiative criteria. They will also provide specialist advice in relation to recovery to service users and actively encourage them to make positive changes to their lives.

We estimate this role to be paying around £38,000 per annum, based on the location and industry standards.

About Us

We are proud to work with the Multidisciplinary specialist drug team, providing relapse prevention workshops and Groups, supporting the outreach rough sleepers service, contributing in the naloxone distribution and further pilots, working closely with the pharmacists community partners in the distribution of needle exchange and hostels.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist advice in relation to recovery to service users and actively encourage them to make positive changes to their lives.
  • Be involved in developing the Co-production service and take a lead in recruiting volunteers to support service development.
  • Support the day-to-day running of the Rough sleepers outreach and assist service users to optimise support as well as fast tracking within the system.
  • Assist the running of Harm Reduction workshops within Hostels and at the Grove Drug service. Assist with Naloxone distribution among the Hostels and service users.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone with a Peer mentor qualification and awareness of patient care within the wider context of the organisation, particularly around health inequalities. The ideal candidate will also have an understanding of the importance of user/carer involvement and awareness of treatment outcomes, recovery tools, care planning, assessment of risk.
