Kent, United Kingdom NELFT NHS Foundation Trust Full time
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our team as the Lead Clinician for the Vanguard Violence Reduction Project (VRP). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a small NELFT health team, delivering a clinical model in collaboration with our partnership agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shaping, delivering, and evaluating the Vanguard's clinical model
  • Building capacity in partnership community organisations through delivery of training, workshops, and reflective practice groups
  • Sharing specialist health and child development knowledge with non-health professionals and para-professionals
  • Joining other professionals and community workers in direct work with young people to facilitate trauma-informed mental health formulations and access to statutory services as needed
About the Team

You will join a large and friendly CAMHS psychology team made up of clinical and counselling psychologists, CBT therapists, Positive Behaviour Support practitioners, and assistant psychologists. You will be part of a growing group of NELFT community psychologists working in child and adult services in Waltham Forest and the North East London region who take a trauma-informed approach in their work.

What We Offer

We believe in bringing your authentic and best self to work, in order to deliver the best care to our patients. We are committed to supporting our employees holistically. Here is a snapshot of what is on offer at NELFT:

  • A long-standing and award-winning approach to equality and diversity with supportive networks for ethnic minority staff, staff with disabilities or long-term/chronic conditions, and LGBT staff.
  • A commitment to supporting colleagues to achieve a work-life balance, through flexible working opportunities and our efforts to support our working parents and carers.
  • Proactive health and wellbeing support, including access to our employee assistance programme, staff psychological support, individual wellbeing conversations, and a network of health and wellbeing ambassadors.
How to Apply

Applications for this role should be written by the applicant. If artificial intelligence (AI) programmes are used, the application may be rejected due to this document being an important part of the assessment process.
