Senior Microbiologist

We are currently recruiting for a highly skilled Senior Microbiologist to join our dynamic team in the UK. As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will play a crucial role in providing an efficient and effective Microbiology service to two general hospitals and local GP community.

• To perform and interpret routine and specialist biomedical investigations autonomously and provide patients results within agreed quality standards of service delivery and turnaround times under the supervision of senior staff.
• To provide professional leadership to Trainee BMS, Associate Practitioner, Laboratory technicians, and MLAs in Bacteriology, Molecular biology, and Serology, and provide technical advice to clinicians regarding the appropriateness of tests and timescales.
