We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at the Port of Dover. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out patrols across the site to detect and prevent security breaches.
- Conduct thorough vehicle searches and personal body searches as required.
- Operate X-Ray and security equipment to ensure compliance with ISPS code requirements.
- Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV systems to identify potential security threats.
- Respond to suspicious activity and report incidents to the Port of Dover Police.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid SIA license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
