We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transaction Services Director to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our advisory team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to our clients, providing expert advice and guidance on financial operations and business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Project manage larger client engagements, including determining project scope and resourcing requirements, monitoring progress against budget and timeframe, and reviewing work completed by junior team members.
- Prepare and review analysis in Excel, identifying key trends and insights to inform business decisions.
- Contribute to the management of the project team, including briefing, supervising, and developing junior staff.
- Assist Partners and Directors in the development of existing and new service stream practices, ensuring alignment with client needs and market trends.
- Liaise with clients on matters concerning risk management, progress, and monitoring information flows, and take responsibility for delivering answers to clients in most cases.
- Ensure client feedback is captured, addressed, and effectively communicated to the project manager/director.
- Identify and recognise new project and business opportunities, and inform the project director or partner as appropriate.
- Support the conversion of opportunities into chargeable work, including pitch participation and business development activities.
- Act as an ambassador of the firm, participating in marketing events and keeping abreast of the wide range of services offered by BDO UK.
- Support recruitment, retention, motivation, and learning and development of the Transaction Services team, acting as a role model to more junior staff.
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), or relevant work experience.
- Previous staff supervision or management experience.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, in particular Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Demonstrates a pro-active approach to continuous development, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
