Autism Specialist Lead

Join our team at the Transformation Unit as an Autism Specialist Lead, where you will play a crucial role in improving services for individuals with autism.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a comprehensive improvement plan for all age groups accessing our services with autism. You will work closely with our Mental Health, Learning Disability, and Autism team to:
- Act as a resource to staff seeking advice on accessing services.
- Work with services in out-patients and in-patient environments to recommend changes to improve the experience of patients with autism accessing services.
- Establish relationships with the estates and facilities teams to determine whether future developments can be made in an 'autism-friendly' manner to make most effective use of capital development opportunities.
- Roll out the learning from local and national best practice and develop a plan for the future of the Trust to become a centre of best practice to support autistic people develop its services.
As an Autism Specialist Lead, you will be responsible for bringing about change through others, rather than having a good deal of face-to-face patient contact. You will work closely with the wider MH and LD team to influence practice and develop a centre of best practice to support autistic people.
