Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Whitby Seafoods Ltd. As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities, with a focus on electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical equipment, including fault-finding and repairs
  • Install and maintain electrical services and equipment up to 415V
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering team to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize production
  • Contribute to the development of new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality

Requirements

  • Apprenticeship in electrical maintenance or equivalent qualifications
  • At least 12 months of practical engineering experience, with a focus on electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Ability to work a rotating shift pattern, including evenings and weekends
