Job Description

**GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant**

We are looking for a passionate and supportive individual to join our team as an SEN Teaching Assistant in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist in planning and implementing educational activities tailored to the needs of SEN children.
  • Support the child's learning and development within the EYFS framework, ensuring they can access the curriculum at their level.
  • Ensure the learning environment is safe, supportive, and conducive to learning for all children, particularly those with SEN.
  • Implement safeguarding policies and procedures.

**Requirements:**

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably within the EYFS framework.
  • Previous experience with special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or education are advantageous.

**Safeguarding:**

The successful candidate will be required to satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
