About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant Primary School in the Grantham area. The successful candidate will work on a regular relief cover basis, starting as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate will have strong teamwork skills and be able to work closely with the Class Teacher to promote the acquisition of learning goals. Duties will include general classroom support for all pupils in KS1 and KS2, facilitating learning through play and small group interventions for pupils requiring additional help.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general classroom support for all pupils in KS1 and KS2
  • Facilitate learning through play and small group interventions for pupils requiring additional help
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher to promote the acquisition of learning goals

Requirements:

  • Experience working in an educational environment with children aged between 4 and 11 years
  • Ability to work in close partnership with the Class Teacher
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc
  • Organised and reliable
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to process a new one
