About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Specialist to join our team at With You. As a Recovery Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with substance misuse and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one support and guidance to clients, helping them to set and achieve recovery goals
  • Work closely with clients to identify and address underlying issues contributing to their substance misuse
  • Develop and implement personalized recovery plans, taking into account clients' unique needs and circumstances
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and social care services to ensure comprehensive support for clients
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews to monitor clients' progress and adjust recovery plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions and progress
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of new initiatives and programs

Requirements

  • ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g., health, social care, or counseling)
  • Experience working in a health, social care, or related setting, preferably with individuals struggling with substance misuse
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently
  • Comfortable using IT and digital media, with basic computer skills and knowledge of software applications
  • Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays on a rota basis

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience working with individuals who misuse substances
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols, including assessing clients in high-risk situations
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (not essential but desirable)
