Business Development Manager

We are seeking a self-motivated and well-organised individual to join our team as a New Business Sales Executive in the Southeast region.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential projects and opportunities, setting realistic growth targets, and contributing to the company's sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients and industry partners
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities
- Represent the brand and take responsibility for the sale of capital equipment in a given sales territory
- Achieve agreed sales targets as specified
- Provide all necessary information to the Sales Support department to facilitate order processing and machine delivery
- Accurate and timely completion of all sales-related documents
- Utilise and maintain CRM system encompassing call planning, sales opportunities, market intelligence, competitive activity, and forecasting
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate leads
- Maintain close liaison with customers and other departments to ensure the promotion of exemplary customer service
- Basic knowledge of the plant industry
- Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers
- Strong communication skills and excellent presentation skills
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Vast experience of working in a similar role and industry
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales analytics tools
