Fixed Term Online Science Teacher

Equal Education Partners is seeking a dynamic and experienced Online Science Teacher to join our team on a fixed-term basis. This exciting opportunity involves delivering engaging online science lessons to students across various year groups (KS3 to KS5), focusing on creating an interactive and effective learning environment.

The role is set to start as soon as possible and will initially last until the end of August 2025. As a member of our dynamic team, you will be committed to enhancing student learning through innovative teaching strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality online science lessons.
  • Develop engaging educational materials and activities tailored to diverse learning needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment and continuity.
  • Participate in professional development and staff meetings.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of the science curriculum for various key stages.
  • Proficient in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students in an online setting.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching online or in a virtual classroom setting.
  • Ability to differentiate lessons for diverse learners, including those with special educational needs.
  • Experience in curriculum development or adaptation.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development in the field of education.

Benefits:

  • Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (08:30 – 16:00)
  • Holidays: 47 days, plus 8 bank holidays per annum (pro rata)
  • Location: Chester - 5 days a month, work from home the rest of the time (full-time remote available in some circumstances)
  • Salary: £30k - £40k per annum, pro-rata
  • Other: Healthcare, Pension, Laptop and other equipment, CPD
