Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for leadership and strategic management in the maritime sector?
We are seeking an individual with extensive experience in steering strategic initiatives for major Ports & Terminals alongside our comprehensive Marine Liability offerings.
This role provides a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility between remote work and office engagement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary Account Executive for prestigious clients in London.
  • Provide strategic oversight for key Port & Terminal clients and the broader Marine Liability portfolio.
  • Facilitate both immediate and long-term risk management strategies and decision-making processes.
  • Contribute as a member of the Marine Executive team.
  • Lead the Ports & Terminals and Liabilities team, ensuring effective budget management.
  • Spearhead the Request for Proposal (RfP) response process.
  • Drive initiatives for new business development.
  • Formulate and implement the Go to Market Strategy for Ports & Terminals and Liability offerings in collaboration with the Chief Broking Officer (CBO) to enhance growth and premium flow.
  • Cultivate a culture where Aon clients are prioritized in all business propositions and practices, ensuring ethical treatment.
  • Act as a market spokesperson for Aon, aligning with company policies and values while identifying opportunities to strengthen Aon's competitive stance.
  • Serve as a role model for broking practices, equipping teams with the necessary skills to execute our Go To Market Strategy effectively.
  • Drive strategic initiatives for SPS and ensure compliance with business processes.
  • Monitor and manage Aon Broking targets, regularly assessing performance to meet established goals.
  • Collaborate with pricing councils to evaluate profitability and margins on core accounts.
  • Work in tandem with reinsurance teams to maintain a unified approach across (re)insurance.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in broking practices and colleague conduct.
  • Adhere to the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and participate in risk management activities.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Strategic mindset with specialized knowledge.
  • Extensive background in managing client relationships.
  • Expertise in program design and placement for Ports & Terminals and Marine Liability risks.
  • Deep understanding of the London insurance market and its core processes.
  • Technical proficiency in Marine insurance.
