About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising Officer to join our team at READ Foundation. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners to maximize income and support our mission to provide access to quality education to vulnerable children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement
    • Develop and implement effective community engagement strategies to build relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners.
    • Identify and pursue new opportunities for fundraising and partnership development.
  • Donor Management
    • Manage a portfolio of diverse donors and prospects, building strong relationships and identifying new opportunities for fundraising.
    • Develop and implement effective donor stewardship strategies to ensure consistent and increasing levels of support.
  • Event Management
    • Plan and execute fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and other activities to engage donors and raise funds.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement event strategies that meet fundraising goals.
  • Volunteer Management
    • Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers to support fundraising efforts.
    • Develop and implement effective volunteer engagement strategies to ensure high levels of participation and retention.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Track and analyze fundraising data to inform strategy and ensure effective use of resources.
    • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donor interactions and fundraising activities.

Requirements

  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising, donor management, or a related field.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners.
    • Proven track record of achieving fundraising goals and targets.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to track and analyze data to inform strategy.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as fundraising, marketing, or non-profit management.
