**Job Overview**

The East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is a leading healthcare provider in the region, serving a population of over 500,000 people. We are currently seeking an experienced Specialist Podiatrist to join our team.

**Estimated Salary:** £45,992 - £53,839 per annum (Band 6)

The successful candidate will work within our Podiatry Department, providing specialist services to patients with complex foot and ankle conditions. This will include working across various locations, including community clinics, hospitals, and residential settings.

**Key Responsibilities:*

  • To assess, treat, and manage patients with high-risk foot conditions, including diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, and connective tissue disorders.
  • To perform specialist interventions such as nail surgery, wound care, vascular assessment, and biomechanics.
  • To work autonomously, delivering patient care and managing complex cases.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans for patients with multiple clinical pathologies.

**Requirements:*

  • A strong background in podiatry, ideally at Band 5 level.
  • Significant experience working with high-risk patients and performing specialist procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
