About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and patient individual to join our team as an Educational Healthcare Assistant at leading SEN schools across Lancashire.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide Personalised Care: Assist with daily living activities such as feeding, mobility, and personal care, ensuring the well-being of each student.
  2. Support Learning: Assist in the classroom, working one-on-one or in small groups to facilitate learning and engagement in line with the students' educational plans.
  3. Collaborate with Staff: Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other healthcare professionals to implement personalised educational and health care strategies.
  4. Monitor Progress: Keep detailed records of students' progress and care needs, ensuring clear communication with the wider team.
  5. Promote Independence: Encourage students to develop independence and self-confidence, supporting their social and emotional development.
What We Are Looking For
  • A caring and compassionate individual with a genuine interest in supporting students with SEN.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or educational support role is desirable, but not essential.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, able to adapt to the unique needs of each student.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care or special educational needs (preferred but not required).

Key Information:

  • A full-time role, Monday to Friday, with a start date ASAP.
