About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Activity Coordinator to join our team at Cottenham Court Care Home in Cambridge. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement activity plans that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
  • Collaborate with care teams to create a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere that fosters social interaction and community building.
  • Organize and lead various activities, including arts and crafts, baking, book clubs, and exercise programs.
  • Liaise with external companies and performers to arrange days out and events at the home.
  • Provide one-to-one support to residents, using reminiscence tools, puzzles, reading, or simply enjoying a cup of tea and conversation.
  • Support the home's social media channels as required.
Requirements

We are looking for a creative and organized individual with a passion for making a difference in the lives of others. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, care teams, and external partners.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Experience in activity coordination or a related field.
  • Ability to manage budgets and maintain paperwork.
