Job Overview

We are seeking highly motivated and analytical individuals with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in tax. As an Employment Tax Graduate, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced tax professionals on a wide range of client projects, assisting in tax research, planning, and compliance activities.

This role is ideal for those who want to develop their technical expertise and commercial understanding while contributing to the delivery of high-quality tax services. You will be exposed to a variety of businesses across different sectors, from nationals through to start-ups, and gain a deep understanding of various industries.

As a member of our Employment Tax Department, you will embark on an ATT/CTA training pathway where you'll receive continuous learning opportunities as tax laws evolve. You will become a key player in delivering and developing our tax services as the service line grows alongside our wider practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with tax team members on client projects, assisting in tax research, planning, and compliance activities
  • Review client processes to ensure compliance with HMRC regulations
  • Prepare and submit PAYE Settlement Agreement calculations to HMRC
  • Consider employment status of consultants engaged on a self-employed basis
  • Implement salary sacrifice arrangements
  • Advise on National Minimum Wage legislation compliance
  • Assist clients with HMRC Inspections
  • Engage in client meetings to gather information, explain tax concepts, and address enquiries professionally

You will have the chance to stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, applying this knowledge to ensure clients' compliance and optimise their tax position. Your contributions will also involve developing client presentations, reports, and proposals related to tax planning and consulting services.
