About the Role

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail network. Your role will involve working outdoors in a variety of conditions, often in close proximity to moving trains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance team in delivering safe and efficient work delivery
  • Work closely with the team to identify and address any issues that may impact the smooth operation of the rail network
  • Contribute to the upkeep of equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are in good working order
  • Provide lookout duties to ensure the safety of the team and other rail users
  • Develop and maintain your skills and competencies relevant to your discipline, keeping up to date with new standards, procedures, and instructions
Requirements
  • Team-working: ability to work closely with the team to deliver safe and efficient work delivery
  • Communication: good communication skills to work safely and effectively
  • Proactive planning: punctual, have the van and equipment ready, and anticipate the needs of the team
  • Working under pressure: remain calm under pressure while working outdoors in all conditions
