Quarry Operator

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Quarry Operative to join our team at FCC Environment.
About the RoleAs a Quarry Operative, you will play a vital role in the safe operation and production at Barnsdale Bar Quarry. You will work as part of the production team to ensure the efficient operation of the quarry, in accordance with our Health and Safety document.
Key Responsibilities- Work as part of the production team to operate the quarry efficiently and safely.
- Report accidents, hazards, and near misses to the manager.
- Ensure daily inspection books are completed and defects reported.
- Participate in Health and Safety issues at the workplace.
- Work in accordance with our Environmental Management System and promote environmentally considerate work practices.
- Ensure timesheets are recorded accurately and processed in a timely manner.
- Operate plant in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with Group policies and procedures.
- Ensure plant and equipment is maintained as specified and the appropriate records are completed.
We are looking for someone with relevant experience, ideally in the quarrying industry, and a positive, enthusiastic, and flexible attitude to work. Quarrying experience, including the operation of plant and machinery, is also essential.
